Challenges for HR in the digital age
The 18th edition of the Vlerick HR Day kicked off with several engaging keynotes on the key developments in the sector. Prof. Dr. Koen Dewettinck (Vlerick) addressed challenges such as diversity and inclusion, tightness in the labour market, digitisation and the need for “evidence based human resources to make better informed decisions”.
Prof. Dr. Kurt Verweire (Vlerick) explained the role HR can play in strategic processes for high-performing, mission- and value-driven companies. Themes such as hybrid work and technology were also covered in depth.
Future-proof solutions for HR organisations
These are themes we take to heart at Syntegro. Because we, too, put our shoulders to the wheel every day to support strong HR organisations. We invited a number of customers to the Vlerick HR Day and look back very positively on this edition — as a sponsor, but also as a supplier of flexible, secure, integrated and future-proof workforce management software, tailored to your HR organisation.
Evidence-based HR & hybrid work in balance
During the afternoon sessions, Prof. Dr. Katleen De Stobbeleir (Vlerick), Erik Huts (Chief Innovation Officer at KBC), Jannie Haek (CEO of the National Lottery) and Jeroen Lemaire (CEO of In The Pocket) argued for a hybrid work culture in which working from home and on site are in balance. They also stressed that a clear policy on hybrid work is the foundation of a high-performing work environment.
That is precisely the strength of Syntegro’s workforce management software: a solution that genuinely makes hybrid work workable through simple processes, transparent communication and objective reporting.
This is also confirmed by Ellen Foroozandeh, HR Business Partner at Decospan, a European market leader in processing veneer wood, with 950 employees and branches in several countries.
“Syntegro’s workforce management software not only saves time but also provides detailed reports that allow us to optimise our operations, and that across countries with different labour contexts and regulations.”
Trust in technology
The importance of technology was emphasised several times during the event. Trust is central to it. According to Prof. Dr. Karlien Vanderheyden (Vlerick) and Philippe Miossec, Change Management Lead Quality 4.0 at GSK, this trust is based on factors such as transparency, adaptability and data quality, but also on good support and communication.
Here too, Syntegro meets the needs of HR organisations. This is confirmed by An Paesmans, head of the HRM Expertise Group at SCK-CEN:
“The strength of Syntegro is the high degree of adaptability of the software. Moreover, implementation is based on a thorough analysis, and the follow-up and support during this process went very smoothly.”
